Requirements for Host Organizations

1. Up-to-date regulatory documentation including CAC Certificate of RegistrationÂ

2. Official letter of interest detailing a clear understanding of the objectives of the NJFP and commitment to supporting the Program by accepting placements of Fellows.

3. Clear descriptions of available role requirements.Â

4. Agreement to provide mentorship to Fellows through dedicated sessions with existing experienced professional within their organizations.Â

5. Agreement to abide by the guidelines of the Programme and sign a code of conduct.Â

6. Non-discrimination policies on gender, ethnicity, religion and disability status, as well as policies against sexual harassment, exploitation and abuse (PSHEA).Â

7. No criminal records, conviction or affiliation with proscribed organizations i.e., terrorists, drug traffickers, illicit trades, child labour.

The UNDP Talent Management Program is a strategic initiative designed to connect talented professionals with host organizations that are working on sustainable development projects. The program aims to foster leadership skills in fellows while helping organizations achieve their strategic goals and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Host organizations are selected based on their alignment with the program’s goals, the relevance and impact of their projects, their ability to provide a supportive environment for fellows, and their commitment to advancing the SDGs.

The duration of the fellowship program for fellows attached to your organization is one year.

Host organizations are expected to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for fellows, assign meaningful and impactful work, offer mentorship and guidance, and facilitate the fellows’ professional development.

While the program covers the fellows’ stipends, host organizations may be expected to cover certain costs related to the fellows’ work, such as project-specific expenses, office space, and any additional training required.

The program has a conflict resolution mechanism in place to address any issues that may arise. Both fellows and host organizations can reach out to the program coordinators for support and guidance in resolving conflicts.

Extending a fellow’s period above one year is not possible. However, if the Host feels the need to retain a fellow based on his/her outstanding performance, then it is highly encouraged for the host to retain that fellow as this is also one of the main goals of this program.

A detailed answer to provide information about Non-profit organizations, governmental agencies, and private sector companies that are committed to sustainable development and can provide meaningful work experiences for fellows are eligible to apply as host organizations.your business, build trust with potential clients, and help convince the visitor that you are a good fit for them.

Host organizations benefit from access to top talent, enhanced organizational capacity, support in achieving goals, networking opportunities, increased visibility, innovation and creativity, mentorship opportunities, cultural exchange, and more. A full list of benefits can be found above.

The program provides support in the form of training, resources, and guidance to ensure a successful fellowship experience. This includes assistance with the selection and onboarding process, as well as ongoing support throughout the fellowship.

Fellows are selected through a rigorous application and interview process. Once selected, they are matched with host organizations based on their skills, experience, and interests, as well as the needs and projects of the host organizations.

While the program matches fellows with host organizations based on various factors, host organizations have the opportunity to review and approve the selected fellows before final placement.

Fellows can work on a wide range of projects that align with the SDGs. This can include research, policy analysis, project management, community outreach, technological innovations, and more.
